What Are Project Templates?

A Smart Desktop project template contains a list Smart Desktop projects customized to reflect a set of related tasks or interests.

For example, today's information workers tend to manage many projects at the same time and have responsibilities that include some or all of the following:

• Managing the department budget.
• Planning a product rollout
• Managing clients or corporate accounts
• Researching the competition.
• Keeping up on industry news or blogs.

To help you organize this work, the Smart Desktop Information Worker template defines projects to contain the information—files, e-mail correspondence, and Web pages—that accumulate as you work in the areas listed above. Such templates are designed for you to modify to your particular job and your style of working.
